I am a Fashion Consultant and Stylist living in Nairobi, Kenya.
With degrees in Environmental Studies (BA) and English Literature (MA), my unexpected career in fashion began as the Fashion Editor of some local lifestyle magazines. My interest in fashion quickly superseded everything else, and now it’s all I do in my professional and personal time.
My styling work ranges from magazine editorials and promotional events, to music videos and commercial production. I’m also a panelist on a TV show called “Fashion Watch” that attempts to curate the fashion choices of local celebrities and personalities; it’s my hope that we play a small role in advancing the style choices of regular Kenyans on the street.
My general style tends towards what’s relevant and happening right here, right now on this continent. One of the best parts about what I do is working around the world and taking this African aesthetic to new places. Africa is a place that’s alive and ridiculously dynamic. It’s a place of massive interest. It’s the last fashion frontier.
